Why I chose this name?

I chose the masquerade for what it symbolizes in my eyes. In a masquerade, on thinks of a party where people are masked of corse, but also behaving very freely. With a mask, people subconsciously put on a facade, or alternate personality and uncandidly behave how they feel. In a may, I feel the internet itself embodies these characteristics. People can create a new self through words places on a web site. Stepping into a new person or character, with just images. In addition, I also see the literature itself in the same was. It offers a form of escapism for its readers and writers. The boundaries of reality to disappear in the imaginations of those who chose to hide behind the mask of a page in a book or a website.
